Our Leadership Philosophy
Welcome to the heart of our leadership at the Colectiva.
We believe in leadership that mirrors the example set by the Good Shepherd, who knows His flock intimately and willingly lays down His life for them. Our leaders aspire to be shepherds who not only guide but also immerse themselves in the lives of those they lead. We are committed to embodying the essence of shepherds that smell like sheep, understanding the joys and challenges that our community faces.
At the Colectiva, we intentionally cultivate a culture where our leaders are servants rather than celebrities. Our aim is not to stand in the spotlight but to serve with humility, reflecting the servant leadership modeled by Jesus Christ. We believe that true greatness lies in putting into practice the service of others, and our leaders exemplify this by putting the needs of the community above their own.
Education is a cornerstone of our leadership philosophy. We highly value higher education in ministry, leadership, and theology, recognizing that a well-equipped leader can profoundly impact the lives they serve. Our leaders hold Master's degrees in diverse fields such as business administration, ministry leadership, theological studies, and counseling. This commitment to academic excellence enables our leadership team to provide informed and compassionate guidance, fostering an environment of growth and learning for our community.
As you get to know our leadership at the Colectiva, you'll find a team dedicated to shepherding, serving, and continually deepening their understanding of God's Word and the complexities of ministry. We invite you to join us on this journey of faith, growth, and community.

Meet Our Lead Shepherd
Father Emmanuel M. Gutierrez, MTS
Father Emmanuel M. Gutierrez, MTS, serves as the Lead Shepherd of our community. He is deeply committed to Christ-centered formation, sacramental life, and faithful pastoral care. He holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Theological Studies from Saint Louis University, where he was shaped by the Jesuit tradition of intellectual rigor, spiritual depth, and service to others.
An ordained Anglican priest in canonical residence within the Jurisdiction of the Armed Forces and Chaplaincy (JAFC) of the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA), Father Emmanuel brings over fifteen years of diverse ministerial experience as a pastor, evangelist, conference speaker, and theologian.
He is a frequent speaker on topics such as ecclesial polity, church planting, community activism, priestly identity, and the spiritual disciplines that sustain a life of ministry. His preaching and teaching are marked by a Spirit-empowered message that is theologically rich, biblically grounded, and unapologetically centered on the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Above all, Father Emmanuel is a shepherd at heart—dedicated to walking with God’s people and leading each person, in love and truth, toward the liberating and transforming heart of Christ.
